đ Drone Views, White Sands & Pure Bliss in Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Santiago
I stumbled upon a hidden gem while exploring the laid-back beauty of the Camotes Islandsâa place that truly lives up to its name: Dapdap ShoreLINES Beach House. Nestled in a quiet fishing community just 10 minutes away from Santiago Bay and 15 minutes from Consuelo Port, this beachfront escape is exactly the kind of place youâd want to keep all to yourselfâbut it's just too good not to share.
đ§ Getting There: The Journey to Island Time
The trip itself felt like a prelude to paradise. From Danao City, I hopped on a 2-hour ferry ride bound for Consuelo Port in Camotes. Smooth sailing, salty air, and that exciting rush of anticipation you only get when youâre island-bound. Once at the port, it was a quick 15-minute ride (thank you, Google Maps and Waze!) to the resort in Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Santiago.
đĄ First Impressions: A Warm Welcome in Every Sense
Family-owned and run, Dapdap ShoreLINES feels like visiting your cool beach-loving relatives. The staff greeted me like an old friend, and that genuine hospitality never faded throughout my stay.
The vibe? Think chill, relaxed, and fun, with the sound of the waves as your daily soundtrack and stunning sunsets as your evening entertainment.
đď¸ Rooms with a View (and So Much More)
I stayed in one of the Sea View Roomsâspacious, sparkling clean, and equipped with all the essentials:âď¸ Smart TVâď¸ ACâď¸ Fridgeâď¸ Hot Waterâď¸ Private Bathroomâď¸ And yes, that gorgeous sea view from the balcony.
If you're traveling with family or a group, the Sea/Garden View Family Rooms are perfect, offering space and tranquility in equal measure.
And guess what? Free WiFi powered by Starlink made it easy to upload my drone shots and make all my friends jealous in real-time. đ
đď¸ Beach Days, Kayaks, Scooters & Chill
The beach? Direct access to powdery white sands and crystal blue waters. No crowds, just you, the ocean, and maybe a kayak or paddleboard if you're feeling active.
And if you're up for exploring, scooters are available for rent. I rode to Santiago Bay one morning and had a quiet moment to myself before the rest of the island woke up.
They also offer snorkeling and curated day tours through local partners. You can really pack your days with adventureâor do absolutely nothing, which is exactly what I did for one glorious afternoon.
đ˝ď¸ Food, Coffee & Island Comforts
Woke up to free breakfast, sipped unlimited coffee and tea, and stayed hydrated with free drinking water (a thoughtful touch). Their onsite restaurant serves up delicious local dishesâcomforting, flavorful, and made with love. Guests rave about it, and I couldnât agree more.
đž Family Friendly, Pet Friendly, Event Ready
Whether you're a solo traveler, couple, barkada, or a family bringing small pets (yes, theyâre allowed for a small fee!), this place feels like it was designed with you in mind. They even accept exclusive bookings for birthdays, weddings, and reunions.
đŹ Final Thoughts: Why Dapdap ShoreLINES is Worth the Trip
When people ask me where they should go in Camotes, this place is going straight to the top of my list.
âď¸ Itâs peaceful, scenic, and not overrun with tourists.âď¸ The hospitality is unmatched.âď¸ The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable.âď¸ And most importantlyâit just feels good to be here.
